Holiday season is almost upon us which mean two things... First, I desperately need to hit that yoga mat harder than ever because once the feasts starts, there is no stopping me. Second, while devouring a turkey leg, one still needs to look put together at a holiday party which leads to some outfit planning to avoid that last minute rush.
Farfetch.com is hosting a competition called Styling the Holidays which asks to put together an outfit that one would love to wear to the holiday party of their dreams. So naturally, if you are going to go ahead and dream, why not just push it and dream BIG and FANCY?
Owning a Hervé Léger dress is such a #goals of mine and this light pink cocktail dress is perfect for parties if you are looking for something that is flattering while allowing you to move on the dance floor. The coat just screams Olivia Pope which is enough reason needed, for me to pick it. Lastly, to add color, the clutch by Edie Parker is just the perfect piece to tie this look together.
My inspiration for this looks is a mesh of Olivia Pope from Scandal and Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl to showcase a simple and smart yet chic, figure flattering look. I decided to pick neutral/nude colors for the outfit so it would not collide with the winged liners and red lips (both of which I will be sporting in my dream party) since sometimes when I mix those with very decorative clothing, I feel very overdone and not myself. But I assure you all there will be lots of booze in my dream holiday party.
