Cuttlefish Jewelry.

Updated: Apr 17, 2020

Jewelry is meant to impress. When you see your friends wearing something shiny and eye-catching, there is some impulse in us (ladies and gentlemen) to turn into heart-eyed emojis and actually ask, "I love it, where did you get it?' I'm all for it and will not deny that I do it all the time but besides the glamour and earthy beauty that you would expect from jewelry, I love the story and the purpose that molded a piece to be what it is. So when I discovered Cuttlefish Jewelry, a handmade jewelry company based in Los Angeles, I fell in love with it's minimalistic appearance and pursuit in  spreading sustainable accessories.

Delicate. Simple. Earthy. Striking. These are just some of the few words that come to mind as I look at my Tiny Arc Bracelet and the triangular polymer clay on my Cat Eye Bracelet. Each of the pieces by Cuttlefish are made to be unique from the next and because of their delicacy, it is advised to not wear the pieces daily. Some may not like that quality but I honestly respect it. Besides my watch, I do not wear jewelry everyday; so it makes something quite special when I choose to wear it for a spontaneous occasion or just a casual weekend out.

I wanted to take a moment to highlight how Cuttlefish Jewelry came up with a line that is both aesthetically pleasing yet uses sustainable and recycled material. Even their eco-friendly boxes are packaged with care and thought in mind. To create something out of what others would see as nothings is absolutely beautiful.
